Our OH, Forks!™ Chicken Pepper Famwich is a family sized sandwich perfect for everyone to customize in their own way! Not to mention, we use our amazing gluten free white bread & Spoon-In Spices blend, which makes this fam-wich even better!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup
    gluten free mayo or avocado mayo
  • 2 Tablespoons
    OH, Forks!™ Spoon-In Spices Southwest Spicy Spice blend or your favorite GF seasoning
  • 1 1/2 Pound
    organic skinless chicken breast tenders or vegan chicken tenders substitute; cut into strips
  • 2 Tablespoons
    coconut oil or avocado oil
  • 1
    medium bell pepper (your choice on color); sliced thin
  • 1
    medium red onion; sliced thin
  • 1
    Large loaf of OH, Forks!™ White Bread, round; or your favorite gluten free white bread round loaf
  • 6 Ounces
    Colby and Monterey Jack cheeses, grated; or your favorite non-dairy shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Simple Directions:

    1. Heat large pan over medium high heat for three to five minutes. Combine gluten free mayo and and one tablespoon of spice blend in small bowl and set aside. In a separate glass bowl, mix raw chicken tenders (or faux-chicken tenders) in one tablespoon of oil and remaining one tablespoon of spice blend.

    2. Cook tenders in pan for six minutes, then adding the sliced bell pepper and onion, with remaining one tablespoon of oil. Cook for six to ten minutes longer; until chicken is done as you would like, and vegetables have wilted.

    3. Using a loaf of our OH, Forks!™ White Bread, or your favorite gluten free round white bread, cut the round in half; making a “top bun,” and a “bottom bun.” Spread your mayo-spice mixture over the bread.

    4. Layer the cooked chicken tenders around on the bread, topping with the cooked vegetables. Top with your desired cheeses, or faux-cheese, and replace "top bun" of bread loaf. Smoosh, slice, and serve!

    Optional Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini's, jalapenos, salsa, and anything else you can think of!

    Extremely simple to make this vegan and dairy free! Avocado mayo is delicious in this, as well as vegan chicken tenders! Our OH, Forks!™ bread is already vegan without the use of eggs!
