OH, Forks!™ Mary, Mary Quite Contrary…

How does my garden grow? Perfectly, on schedule, and beautifully green so far! How about yours??

In between working on novels, new flavors for the #SociallyFrozen ice creams and #DryGoods line, plus all of my other jobs, kid stuff, and life stuff, I have an intense passion for growing anything. Any. Thing. I think in the past week or so my family has learned I seriously need “nursery intervention.” What? A new tree? Sure! Let’s do a few apple, and a fig! OH! Look at those interesting peppermint plants! I think it’s worth a shot! New planters? OK! SAY what?! Clearanced GRAPES?!

You’re catching on, I bet.

My husband asked me everything that’s been planted so far this year. I took that as not counting some of the seeds in my stash I haven’t yet gotten to. (Don’t panic, fellow die-hard gardeners…my “grow season” runs a little longer with a greenhouse!) This year, like last, I’m still giving it a-go chemical free, using no additives and doing everything naturally. Most call it “organic” gardening. I call it the best therapy in the world.

My other secret hopes are that our garden extras can be given to those on our Community Harvest Senior routes. I would LOVE to slide these wonderful people some fresh, healthy foods every once and a while. And now that the greenhouse is done…maybe even give year round gardening a whirl.

Happy gardening, friends! Wear sunblock, or clothes that cover! Watch for ticks and spiders…those little dudes are vicious this year!

PS. Stay tuned for the soon-to-be posted #SociallyFrozen Ice Cream flavor list! I will be up and taking orders in the next month, even while I still work on the site and getting the ordering functions built! Thanks for your support and patience!
