OH, Forks!™ New Cookbooks, 2018 Events & Info
#OHFORKS! Can you believe it’s almost Spring?! This means our upcoming summer market season is almost upon us! Our “off season” has been quite productive and busy, too!
Great news! Our newest cookbook, OH, Forks!™ A Little Bit of Everything and All That’s Gluten Free Second Edition is done and we’re working on stocking our shelves for online and event sales! This cookbook was a true feat, and a learning experience I’ll not soon forget. When I first made the coil cookbook in 2014, I did it as a Kickstarter project through a specific printing company. Doing that gave me a really neat coil-bound cookbook and a great base to jump from, but I did not have the original layout or format of the coil copies, which would have cost me thousands to “get” from them, or required that I forever only use their printing services. Re-doing the coil bound has been on my agenda since 2016, and I finally successfully completed the project! There are some changes to the re-make that make the coil-bound version a limited edition! (Limited like, once they are gone, they are GONE!) Some recipes were removed (market recipes) and others were added, giving this cookbook 107 recipes on recycled paper. Another thing I wanted to change was the “wasted space” on the pages of the coil bound copy. Less white space, means less paper used, means less trees- which makes this hippie very happy! And finally, I’ll be offering this cook book in color and black and white! The black and white version will be a cost saver for those who could care less about all that added color!
And surprise!! As a final thank you to my original Kickstarter backers, I will be sending you a black and white copy of the second edition cook book!
If all of that news wasn’t enough, you’ll be pleased to know we’ll be all over the place this year at events! We are planning to be at the same markets as last year (tentatively now; confirming soon: New Haven Farmers Market and Roanoke Farmers Market) plus we’ll be adding in these larger events that you won’t want to miss!!
