OH, Forks!™ Recommends: Perfect Earth Foods

Recently we were contacted to test and try some new #glutenfree pasta from Perfect Earth Foods. We received four styles of their pasta: red rice, brown rice, and two varieties of their chia pasta noodles. For our first creation, we used the red rice pasta and the brown rice Pad Thai chia noodles, and we opted to make a new Peri-Peri Shrimp & Vegetables pasta dish.

#OHFORKS experienced simple, quick cooking and fabulous texture.

The pasta cooked very well, giving a great bite-texture with no gummi-ness or extra starchy texture (as in so many other gluten free pastas). While our younger taste testing group was slightly terrified of the chia seeds in the pasta, the soft, delicate noodles with the slight chia crunch was a perfect combination! Our youngest testers were also in love with this new pasta!

We made some fresh peri-peri spice paste for this recipe. Peri-Peri is a spicy flavor with lemon, jalapeno, chili powder, onion powder, and a handful of other spices. It is a spice blend stemming from African provinces and history. To this we added bok choy, green pepper, onion, zucchini and cherry tomatoes from our own organic gardens, and fresh ocean shrimp. This pasta dish has a lighter sauce, and the noodles held the sauce, shape and texture very well.

Overall, #OHFORKS is very impressed with this pasta and plan to use it more in the future! Gluten-free pasta can be complicated to get right, in both taste and texture, and having brands like Perfect Earth Foods as a back-up when we cannot make our own fresh pasta is so convenient! Definitely a brand worth trying today! As a bonus, their staff is very friendly, too!

We’ll update our post again with our creation with the rest of our sample pasta!! Thank you for the opportunity to try your wonderful products!
