Camper’s Delight (or Camper’s Stew, Stone Soup, etc) is a simple recipe that spans the decades. We’ve altered it a bit to match with our dietary needs, and cut out the red meat completely. This is one your kid’s will love, if they have a love of fire starting, camping, and outdoor activities.

Ingredients

  • 5
Large Sweet Potatos, peeled and diced
  • 1 Pound
    Organic Rainbow Carrots, diced
  • 16 Ounces
    Pearl Sweet Onions, frozen
  • 16 Ounces
Mushrooms, fresh and chopped; your choice of type
  • 2 Pounds
    Organic Ground Turkey
  • 16 Ounces
OH, Forks!™ Mushroom Rue (OR, your choice Gluten Free Cream of Mushroom style base)
  • 2 Teaspoons
    Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Depending on your cooking method, you'll need to either light the camp fire, or set your crock pot on low.

Add all of the ingredients to the crock pot, and let simmer for hours until done. A HIGH setting on your crock pot will take 3 hours, low will take 5 to 6.

If you're cooking on the camp fire, you'll need some foil or a large pot to cook it in. IF using foil, make sure not to over-fill your packets, and seal them completely so they don't drip too much on the open flame. IF using a large pot, be sure it's completely fire safe. Cook through, and allow to simmer longer for fuller flavor!
